NMEP TECHNICAL BRANCH

Monitoring and Evaluation

Turning programme information into better decisions.

OUR OBJECTIVE

Turning programme information into better decisions.

Routine programme monitoring

The branch supports the organisation of malaria indicators, reporting processes and performance reviews. Routine information helps teams identify coverage gaps and follow up implementation challenges.

Data quality and use

Complete, timely and consistent reporting supports meaningful interpretation. Data review, verification and feedback help improve reporting from service-delivery points through state and national levels.

Surveillance and evaluation

Surveillance, surveys and programme evaluations provide complementary evidence. Findings inform planning, resource allocation and assessment of progress toward national malaria goals.

Sharing information responsibly

Published dashboards and reports should identify their reporting period, data source and interpretation limits. Access to restricted operational data remains subject to the responsible programme’s controls.
