About ITN campaigns

Insecticide-treated net campaigns organise distribution at scale, supported by communication, logistics and monitoring. Campaigns complement other distribution channels used by the programme.

Before distribution

Planning includes identifying target communities, establishing distribution arrangements, quantifying requirements and preparing teams. Community communication explains the local process and helps households know what to expect.

During the campaign

Implementation teams coordinate commodity movement, distribution, supervision and resolution of operational issues. Households should follow information issued by their state malaria programme and local distribution teams.

After distribution

Follow-up communication supports continued net use and care. Programme reviews examine distribution information, identify gaps and record lessons for future activities.
